Busy Busy but still time for berries...a berry blissful morning

Well, it is pretty busy around our place right now~ but we still have time for the little things...
That is one of the reasons I love gardening so much. It gives you time to think and appreciate how beautiful and miraculous nature is. I find it so peaceful to work in our garden. Look at this scrumptious strawberry from my little A's garden. She is pretty excited. She took it to school to show all of her friends today. Gardening is so wonderful at teaching us to be patient. (Something I constantly need to work on!) It sure is exciting to be rewarded with such a beautiful berry.

It is all about rummaging through your closet for something fun & embellishing it or adding that special little touch that makes it "blissful bohemian"...

A lovely Monday to you...

Is it Monday already? Laughter & Flowers... a great way to start off the week.

Well- we love flowers if you didn't know....Here are some roses from our garden~ I love their imperfect look & boy do they ever smell delicious. Their scent filled up our bedroom this weekend with the prettiest fragrance. (If you are in a gloomy mood- nothing works better in my opinion than some fresh flowers.)

I am always amazed that the roses come back (despite my lack of attention)- Natural Beauty... so pretty.

We are pleased as punch to be announcing this fabulous bohemian workshop that will be held right after the Vagabond Vintage Market on Saturday, May 16th from 1-6. The lovely and talented Deb Hodge (Breathing Beside Us) & Mary Smilove (Sweet Peas & Snapshots) will be packing up their California caravans to join us & we are so thrilled! They will be teaming up to bring you this don't miss bohemian workshop. Space is limited & the cutoff date is May 8th~so... don't miss this chance get your creative gypsy on with these gals.

All Materials to make one magnificent Sacred Heart Bag & Bohemian "Dance of the Gypsies" Canvas are included. There will be light refreshments as well as some little "extras" that Mary is bringing as a special treat for all you bohemain ladies!

I think we have all the fixins (ribbons, flowers & fancy embellishments) to pretty up some eggs. How can you not be inspired by these lovelies?

Don't you think they are just scrumptious? I have always loved the sugared eggs that have the peep hole with the little characters & scenes inside. Those have always been my favorite Easter treats. (Not to eat. just to look at with delight.)- Anyhow- just thought you would enjoy these pretties.

Look what we did today! This is the "before"- (scratched & stained arts & crafts table in the playroom)

This is our "after" table- cute and colorful!

All we did was modge-podge old book pages & scrapbooking paper to the table.
This was supposed to be a Mother-Daughter project- (but the "daughter" thought the modge podge was too messy- go figure!)

This is a very economical way to fix up an old table. I think using wallpaper or fabric on a scratched coffee table or nightstand would be pretty fun too.

A Tisket a Tasket

A tisket a tasket~ a pretty Easter basket! Glitter, Ribbon & fun fringe too...Easter doodads & glittery goodies~we have all the pretties you need to make a breathtaking basket! My daughter and I made these this morning~ it was a fun Sunday project. We have a basket decorating day scheduled in April~ so bring your baskets & join in on the fun. (We will have a few on hand to purchase if you need them.) I found these at Michaels on 40% off.

We just added a Spring Crafting Night on Wednesday, March 25th from 6-9 We will make- tags, fabric covered eggs, baskets, banners & Tricia's gorgeous Easter Bunny Beeswax... anyone interested? It will be so much fun! We will provide a light dinner & desserts of course! Join in on a fun girls night out!

Fun weekend at our house!

Well- we had a busy busy exhausting weekend at our place- we had our HUGE Spring Weekend Yard Sale. It was a lot of work... but lots of fun. We have so many wonderful neighbors, friends & customers, it was great to chat & catch up amongst the bargains on such a beautiful day. We could not have pulled this off without all of our sweet friends & neighbors who stayed up late and got up early to help us. We could not believe how chilly it was in the morning- but it really turned out to be quite nice- we were so lucky!

We met this sweet gal Jamie- who we just might talk into teaching some quiliting at the studio- she was such a doll- and look what I bought for my kiddos for Springtime picnicking- sooooo darling! I also picked up some fabulous antique tins from Cherry Street Antiques- (Julie is also having another sale this weekend at their place... check them out- I will see you there!)

Anyhow- look for our new April & May schedules- I am going to buckle down and get those done in the next couple of days.
